do not waste your cash on a capacitor. they are a total waste of time and money. if you would like to read all about it you can browse this page:
http://forum.realmofexcursion.com/sh...ad.php?t=17919
save the money and upgrade your battery (stinger, kinetic, optima (in that order)) and upgrade all your grounds under the hood with 4g wiring. also run a direct line from the battery + to the alternator output. this will help your system 1000x more than any capacitor will.
i don't have experience with the mtx speakers but i do with the alpine subs - i have the same pair myself. i can tell you now that they will be very, very underpowered with that amp. they are rated at 500rms each and can take much more than that. currently mine are getting 600rms each daily and they want more. it is not uncommmon to hear people giving them 800-1000rms. type-r subs need a lot of power to realize their full potential and that amp will only be giving them 250rms in a best case scenario. they also love ported enclosures but sealed is fine too so long as it meets up to the specs on the subs.

be sure to use a dmm to set the gains for everything once you have it all. i forget if you had said it earlier or not, and i am too lazy to go back and look, but hopefully you have some form of a quality deadener. i used about 75 sq ft of dynamat xtreme and it made a world of difference.
i finally finished (for now) my system and i am very happy with the results. it took me about 6 months to buy everything, some new and some used. i am pretty happy where i am am at now but i just bought another hu to play with. to date i have had 5 hus, 3 sets of comps, 4 subs, 2 6x9 sets and one pair of amps.

Dmm??? I am going back and forth between using dynamat, I am using some around the speakers to reduce the vibrations. I will see how bad it is in the trunk, if its awful I'll invest in it, if its ok then I can deal with it. I would just dynomat the trunk on this car because I don't plan on keeping it too long.

digital multi meter. you can get a cheap one for ~$30 at sears.

i have only ever used dynamat products and i am very satisfied. i used 2 bulk packs of xtreme plus a little i had left over. you can get them for ~$120 shipped if you shop around, each pack being 36 sqft. not only does it help with vibrations but really reduces road noise and improves sound quality. i did the entire trunk and under the rear seats, one layer on inner door skin (under the plastic trim) and one on then inside of the outer skin. i left the rear doors alone since there are no speakers there. this was the first step and it made the stock system sound amazing compared to before.
