Default 2000 Dodge Neon Firing Problems

Everything is working fine. The only problem is that its not firing. I have new spark plugs, a programmed ECU, new fuel and new fuel pump. For some reason its not getting the signal to fire. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

If it's cranking fine, and just not sparking, the problem lies in your coil pack, spark plugs, or wires.

It could very well be an issue with your coil pack. I am with Roush

BTW, what plugs did you put in and what gap? What wires are you running? Still leaning towards the coil pack, but certain things could make it worse I suppose.

Its a little awkward. When I came home last night my dad had the car running. He said it short curcuits when ever the camshaft is wired. When he disconnects it he is able to start the car fine. So now that i know its a short curcuit somewhere I wonder what could fix the problem. A stronger battery?

If something is shorting, I wouldn't want to try and pump more energy into it, lol. Does your computer have a code? < -- Bad camshaft position sensor?

It does. it gives off P1684 and and P0340 (I think) wich is camshaft position sensor. I already looked it up.

Set Condition: At least 5 seconds or 2.5 engine revolutions have elapsed with crankshaft
position sensor signals present but no camshaft position sensor signal. One Trip Fault.
POSSIBLE CAUSES

I have seen two different explanations for P1684, but in your case, I'm assuming it's the one that has to do with the battery being disconnected in the last 50 starts.

hmmm. So it could be anyone of these things. I wonder how much repairing wiring problems would cost me. :S thanks for your help!
