Default Hesitation problems 2001 R/T

Please help!!!!! I have a 2001 Neon R/T and having a little bit of trouble here. While driving after car is warmed up, I'm having hesitating problems through HARD acceleration. normal driving it's alright and when the engine is cold no hesitation. I'm thinking that it is the clutch going out on me, but it only does it when it's warmed up. I was also thinking the type of fuel, brand that is, the car requiers a higher octane for gas, which I use. I anyone has suggested please let me know.

Thanks

No the ses light isnt lit. For example, Fast acceleration, it'll be fine up to around 4,000 rpm then hesitate, like a small jerking then right at 6000 it's fine, when it hits 6000 it feels like it graps then.

when the problem came up i checked them they where bad, so replaced them, I replaced with platinum that doesn't require gapping, could that be it, cause the gap on normal plugs for the car is .40

The first thing u should check is your air filter.

It wouldn't hurt to check your spark plug wires too.[&:]

FYI; from what it sounds like it has nothing to do w/ your clutch (espcially if this is happening in your higher rpms).

When was the last time u changed your air filter? I'm almost positive that's the issue. If it isn't, it probably has to do w/ your fuel.

AIR FILTER WAS REPLACED ABOUT 3 MONTHS AGO, SHOULD I JUST ADD SOME FUEL TREATMENT TO GAS?
