water leak on passenger side under dash
DAMN. it did not resolve the problem.. Yesterday was snowing and raining and guess what?
Water did come again passenger side under dash....
I`ve been trying to call to Finnish manucfacturer, but they do not know the problem..
And if i take my car to them, it could be very costly operation like 200-800 $.....
Any suggestions what to do and where to start looking?
Any pictures to give me to resolve this problem?

Hello,
I have the same problem with my 2000 neon, I've read your solutions and I've looked at where te water comes out. The solutions that are written in this forum are wrong. Here is the correct one. Basically this is the problem... the drain is blocked by leaves and dirt... The water and air enters throught the air intake it then goes into the blower, which blows the air and water into the air box then the condenser and heater core. The air comes throught the air vents in the car and the water falls to the reservoir that has a drain. Since water and air go throught the same area its normal that debris can too such as leaves, dirt and small branches, they clog the drain and then water builds up and the only place it can go is throught a small hole under the front passenger's feet. What you have to do is unscrew the glove box and then take out the blower (which depending on the amount of time its been flodded could be rusting) then take out the air box, clean out the air box and reassemble.

This is gonna sound really dumb, but when i had my 01 neon it was doing the same crap. But it didnt have to be raining all the time. The a/c lines get really damp and sometimes intern made the lines sweat. It would only make the carpet a little damp tho so im lost
I've read all the post and threads here on this subject and the other day it happened to me. Now some people are saying it's the recirculation control others are saying it's the crow and others blame it on the windshield and how the water runs off of it. Can someone post a pic of the crow because i think i'm confusing it with something else. I pulled the blower motor out and all looks good there and the drain off hose is not blocked. Now I know where that bad smell is coming from. Just got the car a couple of months ago.
Don't forget that if water is leaking into the trunk via seals around tail lights it can get all the way up to the front passenger floor board. At one time my spare tire compartment was completely full of water and it almost went into the passenger compartment. The car started to smell pretty bad due to mold. I ended up removing the carpet in the trunk and cleaning it and spraying Lysol all over it. Also removed back seat and cleaned and sprayed it too. It finally started to stop smelling.
OMG, I had that happen too. I had to drive my car around for 4 days with nothing but the dash and driver seat while everything dried and got soaked with Lysol. I caught it very soon though, I didn't get mold, but it was starting to smell.
It's not the trunk who ever had this car before took care of that because I see some foam stuffed into the tail lights it's the front I'm concerned with. I do have vent shades so the windows are open 24/7 good thing to get for the heat and lets the car breath during hot summers. Can anyone direct me to where the crow is or a pic please.
