Default Will the srt-4 clutch fit in a 00' neon?

Just bought a stock SRT-4 clutch with 14k miles on it and was wondering if it will fit in my 2000 neon. Do I need any extra parts or anything? Any extra info or tips are appreciated as well

It has to be modified to fit. Has not seen it up close, but there is some shaving down in areas to make it fit. The srt trans is larger than all other mtx's. It can work though.

Also believe the 91+ mtx turbo dodge car has a clutch that fits a neon. All car using a A523/A568 has the exact same input shaft spline count (large spline) as the neons. This clutch has been known to hold up to 350hp before slipping on a turbo 2.2L/2.5L.

Now this is nto the same setup and the modular cluyour cars came with. You will have to switch to non-modular clutches.

So either way you go, a decision will have to be made with the clutch. Will the T2/T3 clutch work in an srt? Going to ask them now.

EDIT: Got what appears to be an OEM pic of the srt clutch: http://www.modernperformance.com/mop...on-p-1727.html Has roughly the same power level rating as the T2/T3 clutch and double the price.

So I would have to shave some of the metal to get it to work? Would it be easier to just wait until I buy a new transmission (been planning on it already) and just get one of the stock srt-4 trannys?

just get a performance clutch for ur tranny. . .

the srt tranny can be transfored to a 2.0 block but it is ALOT of work to get it to more..

You could have just used the edit feature....

Depends on your setup too. This needs to be taken into consideration before a clutch can be chosen. You could get a mtx rebuilt for the cost of a srt trans, not including the work to make it fit.

if he does a swap i would just do the whole swap and scrap the 2.0, and not buy one thing for a mod of the 2.0... it would be just a waste of money
