Do not buy the 500$ turbo kit. That turbo will come apart!! Chinese turbo's use different metals than Garrett, Precision, etc.

This is a Chinese Turbo.

I know where you can get a 150$ manifold. Brand new. Then you can look for a used T3/T4 hybrid.

As far as controlling boost, the wastegate is what regulates it. On an SRT turbo manifold, it is bolts right on. On the T3/T4 setup, look at the manifold. There is a big square spot to mount the turbo and next to that there is a little hole with two bolts. The wastegate mounts there. A wastegate opens to allow exhuast to divert out and not go through the turbo. The more exhaust through the turbo = more boost.

Further boost adjustment comes from a boost controller. It is a little valve that goes on the vacuum line between a boost source, i.e. the throttle body, and the wastegate's vacuum/boost port. The spring in the wastegate can have different ratings. When the boost pressure overcomes the sring pressure, the wastegate opens and regulates the boost. When using a boost controller, it leaks out some of that boost pressure allowing higher boost levels than the wastgate spring. Example. You bolt on a SRT turbofold. You run the car with no boost controller and hit 4 psi. Add the boost controller and then you can run anything more than 4 psi.

yeah i will give u just an idea, my turbo alone was over 800 dollars. it is brand new turbonetics, granted u can get a cheap used turbo for less than that. anything off of ebay u go with go with a srt turbo, that will be ur best bet. look for brand names garrett, turbonetics, exc. do not go cheap on a turbo, i have thought about it at many different times, but am very glad i spent the money on a good quality product, it saves u time and money

While we are at it, do not buy anything made in China. Wastegates, boost controllers, manifolds, ANYTHING!

It looks decent. Email the seller and ask about the turbo, broken fins, shaft play, seals, etc.

I think you should go the SRT turbo route.
