how hard is it to install? and does the 1011 come with all the hoses and clamps?
I am hearing more and more about the transmission failing and have been worried every time i get in my car..
so i need to...
check all fluids?
I am thinking about an ATX flush and get that cleaned out and then do the different cooler and replace the coolant.
about how much would that cost?

Not sure, haven't done it yet. I am guessing the hardest part will simply be finding out where to mount it. Also, as far as I know, the 1011 is a kit with everything in it.
Don't do a flush, for starters. Simply do a fluid and filter change. That would be the time to install the cooler as it is related to the transmission, not the radiator. Replacing the coolant is pretty straightforward. How much would that cost at a shop? I'd guess somewhere between $100-$150 for the coolant change and might be the same for the transmission service (fluid and filter only, not installing the cooler). Never had a transmission serviced at a shop, so I don't know the specifics, just guessing by about how much things cost and how long it take to do it.

LOL, I have to save up to do mine because I am installing more than a cooler. I am installing the thermostat for it so the fluid does not over-cool along with a transmission temperature gauge (if not more). That, plus the fluid and filter is too much money for me ATM. I am still paying for my other toy, lol, which is quite a chunk of money every month.
A Perma-Cool 1010 may actually be better if you simply want a replacement for the factory, thinking about it. I'm going for the above and then some though.

If your not looking to do all of what I am, I'd go with the 1010. It is made for compact and small cars with a GVW of 12,000-14,000. The 1011 is for compact to small cars with occasional towing (14,000-16,000 GVW), but I am going to use it because of where I live and how I drive. Any aftermarket cooler not installed inline with the factory unit will keep them from mixing because you are bypassing the piece that can fail and cause them to mix.
