Yeah, you can rent the tool. I just made that suggestion since you said you didn't want to deal with it.

I did mine it was easy just use 2 hydraulic jacks and lower the spindle down once the nut is loose on the strut shaft. Just soak all the nuts & bolts with PB Blaster the night before ya do the work it helps. While your that deep in might as well do ball joints & control arm bushings too. Mines a 00' too if and definately needed it all up front.

Spring compressors look way dangerous to me lol If you've ever dropped a coil spring from about 5 feet up and see it blast thru dry wall you might see what I mean

Monroe Quick Struts:
Part #
171580 Front (need 2) $115.89(Rock Auto) $114.50(Amazon)

171578 Rear Left $104.79(RockAuto) $112.87(Amazon)

171579 Rear Right $104.79(Rock Auto) $112.00(Amazon)

Rock Auto Also lists similar Raybestos branded units, nearly identical part numbers (just add a 7 to the beginning-7171580,7171578,7171579) for $86.79 for the rears, $101.99 for the Fronts.

above listed as OE ride quality,
under the "economy" heading on Rock Auto they have Monroe "Econo-matic" Assemblies, again similar Part numbers, just change the 17 out front to an 18(181578,181579,181580) for $60.79 Per Corner.
