Really like my R/t exhaust but would the srt4 exhaust be louder and cooler lookin or should i just stick with my r/t.

 

Why did you get an R/T exhaust then. The SRT exhaust will be much louder. I say just keep the R/T exhaust, you already paid for it. Only thing the SRT exhaust is going to do for you is make more noise.

 

Cuase my stupid dealers around here told me that the rt wouldnt void my warrenty and the srt4 one would. So the srt is just louder .they both look simular for tips right. I could easily get the money I paid for it which was 75 bucks and get a srt4 one for 80 bucks. Take the chance for the warrenty have 20,000 miles on her anyway. I just want something a bit louder. Not ricey but cool loud.

 

Yeah, that was my issue. I have an R/T. I wanted to put in the SRT-4 exhaust cause not only would it be louder, BUT since there is more room (like half and inch) in the pipes, you would get more exhaust, and since there is no muffler, only the resonator, then you would get more power right?

I thought that may be the case Im tryin to get a cheap srt exhaust on srt forums and Im gettin a srt spoiler from on there also.

 

Actually I just got a srt4 exhaust for 80 bucks shipped. Maken my sxt into a srt4 wanna be until i get a srt4 .

 

So has ANYONE done this? Is there any increase in power? I have heard that with the wider SRT-4 pipes that you can get up to 20 HP increase. ANYONE??

20 hp??? You'll be lucky to gain 10 hp with basic mods.

AirWolf; what type of Neon do u have & do u have any mods? If any, what?

The SRT exhaust on a Neon wont sound like the SRT-4. The SRT's turbo system makes the exhaust quieter. I've heard how it sounded on a Neon on this forum. I say stick w/ your exhaust.

 

Im lookin for loud and ive heard it has more top end power.My rt dual exhaust barely has a sound to it. it will be alot louder on my sxt. I have a 2004 sxt. my mods are K&n cone filter , cf tails,smoked sides,clear 3rd brake light, custom side graphics, rt dual exhaust, tinted 3 back windows .just starting out.

 

definately doesnt gain 20hp. not even 10hp
maybe 1-3hp..


yes, the srt4 exhaust will be loud on a non-srt4. VERY LOUD. and gets a bit raspy in the top end from what ive heard too. very few people ive talked to that have had it on their car, kept it on their car.. just because of how obnoxiously loud it was and didnt sound like theyd hoped.

also, dont forget that your gains will be greatly diminished due to the NGC in the '03-'05 neons.
