Post Blow off valves

i spend way too much time on this forum.. and post way too many topics..

any who, i seriously looooove blow off valves! They make a mess in my pants. and i've always wanted one too, but heres the thing.

i know very little about cars, let alone upgrading them.
my question for you:

would i be able to put a blow off valve on a 2004 Dodge Neon SXT SOHC 5-speed manual?

i'm really considering putting an R/T's exhaust system on my SXT, and a CAI, which both change the sounds, am i correct?

do i have to have a turbo kit or something? or can i just put the BOV on my stock engine, and still make that sexy whistle?

BOV's are part of a turbo system.

Yes, but you are lacking the part that it functions off of: the turbo.

There is a BOV on the stock SRT-4; however, you won't hear anything from it. To get the "noise" you need an aftermarket BOV. Mopar used to make them, (Blue Plate Specials, because of the color) they made a sound like airbrakes on a semi. They were a super PITA to install. My son-in-law has one that tweets or twitters on his 2005....not sure where he got it from.

You need quite a bit of parts to use an SRT4 turbo system, including an almost impossible-to-find adapter plate.

I'm young, own 4 cars, buy crap for them and so on with not the greatest paying job in the world at present (finish college this semester). What you need to learn is how to budget and save.

own 4 cars?! while going to college?! did you join the military or something? i made ~ 120 a week. i pay $100 a month for my car payment, $100 a month for insurance, and ~ 60 a month for gas. i guess for as much as i've done for my car, within only half a year, i've been doing fairly well. i just need to learn to be more patient..
