Default Clutch problem :(

Hey guys, Last night I was driving and pressed on my clutch pedal and it slid to the floor almost but still had an half inch to actually shift and drive still with no grinding, But I had to drive and rev really slow otherwise i wouldnt go anywhere. I noticed I can pull the pedal up by my finger but that still doesnt disengage the clutch all the way. Cable is still intact from what I saw last night. any ideas?

i had the opposite problem on mine, clutch action was working fine but when i would go to shift it wouldnt be engaged. ended up replacing both the slave and master cylinders and running all new hydraulic lines (round 85k miles or so). was not fun to bleed those things.

problem is most likely in the release bearing/clutch fork assembly, or all the release fingers have worn off and the bearing has passed thru the clutch cover and is directly contacting pressure plate.

But these situations would be rather noisy and you claim yours is quiet. ??

Cable strecthed maybe?

Oh and if you do need a clutch buy the Luk kit as u'll get the most miles outta it compared to the aftermarket clutches

Mine was pretty quiet but I did notice sometimes when I released the clutch I heard it clash or just closing etc..cable could have stretched but its only a year old..but it is an aftermarket cable.if its the release bearings and fork is that expensive to fix? I have no idea. :P

parts not too much but trans would have to be removed.
if I remember right i did my clutch, release bearing, pressureplate for under 400 canadian dollars.
took the better part of a saturday to do.

clutch and release bearing are sandwidched between the 2 units

think of the engine and the transmission as the biscuit and the clutch as the cream in the oreo cookie
