Hello im new to this forum.I have a automatic 2001 dodge neon i was stoped at a light and the car just turned off and it wouldnt turn back over. The cluster where the mileage are at on top it says fuse i checked all the fuses and they are all good also when you do try to turn it on it doesnt do anything the started doesnt come on or the fuel pump battery is good has the right voltage i also replaced the neutral safety switch that is located in front of the transmission and nothing so if anyone has any idea of what it could be i would really appreciate it.

This happened to my sxt like 2 or 3 yrs ago and my dad came over and we found a fuse relay in the engine bay was bad try those if you havent yet.

 

i just took the horn relay and swished them with all of them and nothing

 

when this happens do you still have lights?

Corroded/loose/disconnected ground in the engine bay?

 

ive seen corrosion on the backside of the PDC under the hood, get a multimeter and start testing.

now when you say fuses are good are u just visually klooking at them or are you testing for power on both sides of the fuses?

 

did you hit a bump or hole? I have a 01 neon and anytime i hit a speed bump or hole I blow my main relay fuse which is loctade on the side of the dash. Enigine, and fuel pump shuts off but I still have the dash cluster, radio and lights

 

Sounds like a crank position sensor. More details may be helpful. How far did you drive the car? What temp was it outside? Any codes stored?
