I have a 2000 se .2.0 automatic...i was wondering if it is possible to swap nose clips from a 2004 srt4 onto mine..also do i need to use the radiator support from the srt4 also..and how hard is it to do an auto to manual swap on these cars...any help would be appreciated..one more thing what somewhat cheap things can i do to this to make it alittle faster.where can i get a cold air intake for this damn thing.

 

You need the bumper cover, washer bottle and the headlights.

forget the CAI to make it faster, it wont happen it will just be noisier. anything that will make this car faster will cost you money, there are no lowbuck speed tweaks for this car. With 16valves this SOHC is making about as much power as it will ever, without spending a whole lotta money.
the cheapest way to make your neon a lil quicker would be to put it on a diet, start removing parts you dont use(like backseat, door trims, carpets, spare tire, ect)
although these are parts you may need lol

the rad support is the same for both models. if you have the nescessary parts the neon to srt-4 front swap is simply nuts n bolts.

Simple want to make your neon faster do a srt turbo swap if your going to do the srt front bumper mise well do the turbo swap also. Intake does help a little with other mods not just by its self. I have seen donor srts cheap and srt turbos on ebay even cheaper and you can get an intake on ebay pretty reasonable . I have an ebay intake in mine from the begining and its nice to have ..

 

Essentially, that it is a SOHC 4 cylinder car made for gas mileage, not high horsepower and speed. For some reason, most people believe adding a CAI or what have you is going to turn the car into a rocket.

 

Not me just helps when I show my sxt and helps somewhat in the gas mileage department at least the K&n filter. Plus it looks alot nicer than the stock box . I hate stock anything almost.

I swore i would never own one of these cars.ive always owned hondas and i actually dont mind this car besides the fact this thing couldnt spin its way out of a wet paper bag lol..ive never seen such a gutless car.a buddy of mine had a srt neon and it was nasty until it unfortunately got up close and personal with a deer at 110.thanks for the help everyone
