I have never ran winter tires before only all season and never had a problem even in 5inchs or so . My husband ususally drives my sxt to work and back in snowy weather or icy weather and lets me have the dakota 4X4 and he also has no problem with the all season tires I have on her no matter what they have been. Winter tires are nice for some when all season are nice for some. Just what you into for tires and where you live.

i always run m+s tires year round and i feel my neon handles like a 4wd truck in snow. maybe its cause im a good driver ??? ive only gotten stuck once and it was cause some idiot was sliding down a hill coming into my lane so i went off the road into the slushy heavy wet plow snow. ive also driven with bald tires in winter, not too bad just hard to get up some hills lol

I love my snow tires. If you have that option, go for it. I've never felt so confident driving through the winters in Michigan as I feel now!

I bought my ex wife a new Nissan Sentra while we were dating and living in upstate NY because I got sick of working on her POS Chevy Chevette EVERY damn weekend. Stuck a set of Firestone Winterforce tires on it for the two winters we had it up there. They did about as well or better than any other snow tire, I thought.
