well i took the car out for a spin and it still isn't shifting. I also noticed that as im driving my miles on the car doesn't work. So i drove it like 3 miles and it stayed at the current mileage. The speedo doesn't work either, so I think maybe the VSS. I changed the input and output sensors already on tranny. Maybe if that worked it would take it out of limp..just a thought!

well after not workin on the car a few weeks i figured tonight i would go rent a OBD-II scanner.

These are the codes thrown" p0500 and p1698

Now there the same codes i had when i did the key dance, i reset the codes but will take it out tomm for a drive. Now the p0500 (VSS) really isnt a big deal, what im worried about it the p1698, i think its either the harness or the PCM is bad.

Can i just go to junk yard and get new PCM, or do i need to flash it or what not

If you have a gray sentry key, a new PCM will need to be programmed to the VIN. If you have the plain black keys, you should be able to just replace it.

I'd check the price difference between the two and go with the one you feel more comfortable with ..

I'd stick with a 2000-2002.
