03 Neon stuck in Limp Mode> P0700
Hey folks,I'm new the this site and was looking for some help.
I started my 03 Neon the other morning and drove to get a coffee when i noticed it felt/sounded off. I hit the highway and the car would not shift. Putting the car in gear from Park to Reverse/Drive is still smooth and my Speedo is still working correctly.
I checked the codes and came up with P0700. After a lot of research online, most of the information pointed at the input speed sensor. I ordered the new sensor from Mopar and installed it yesterday. The problem persists and now on top of the P0700 I also have a P0503 - Vehicle Speed Sensor Intermittent/Erratic/High.
As this was a simple;unplug and unscrew the old/screw in and plug in the new, I have a hard time believing I did something incorrectly during the installation but you never know.
I'm heading out now to take everything apart and double-check that I didn't miss something simple, but does anyone have any input on this issue?
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated ASAP.
Thanks

nope, using the "key on/off" method
I'll be honest, the car is a POS and not worth taking to garage...I'm just hoping it can last me another 2 months before I have to get something else. So if this is something I can spend a couple hundred on and it last me that long I'll be happy.

I live in a small town, all is here is garages...no part stores. In order to get to a parts store I will have to drive the Highway for an hour. I expect the car wouldn't survive the trip lol
