bad oil pressure sensor
I have a 2004 Neon. 134K, always done appropriate maintenance. Been a great car. Noticed 2 weeks ago, engine running rough at idle, going away after warm up. Took it for an oil change next day. About one week later, went to start it in the morning to warm up, and check engine light came on. Engine sounded "rough". Turned it off immediately. Discovered how to pull the P codes myself. It shows a oil pressure sensor low voltage, speed control switch stuck..and small leak in the emissions system. Went to the gas cap, it was basically not on at all, so I fixed that. (17 year old daughter driving it)
Went to start the car, to begin checking it, and the noise is louder than a ping..def a KNOCK now. Turned it off immediately, not wanting to cause further damage. Will the bad pressure sensor cause that noise? Going to get the part to replace it tomorrow. Hoping its not the pump itself. Any suggestions/comments?

The first thing I would check is oil level, especially since you just changed oil. You wouldn't believe how many vehicles i have seen where the filter was loose or the oil drain plug was loose. I have an aunt that had oil changed and drove 15 miles and oil light came on, told her to have some one check oil and look under car. oil was low and oil all over under car, the drain plug fell out just as she was coming up to her drive way. Anyway, the sensor will not cause a knock in your engine. Since you cleared the codes has any came back? By sounded rough do you mean missing or is the rough sound you are hearing what you call the knock?
Mine is now throwin the idiot light @ the spot light or idle, when I went to AZ for a new sensor they gave me a unit for the front of the block, but the plug didn't match up. On the back of the block there is a unit with a plug right above where the oil filter is located, are there 2 units for this because neither one matched up with the parts store had. Or is this a dealership item since its a 2000 model?
I've looked thoroughly on here for photos but not found any

can't remember how long mine lasted either 45k or 224k since I might'a swapped it during the motor change last winter. This year all the sensors been shizzlin out lol But I've gotten my $$$'s worth out this car for my kiddo
