to cover bases, have you checked to make sure your transmission fluid level is correct? and when was the last time your transmission filter was checked/replaced? i believe a clogged filter could give symptoms like you're describing.

i could be wrong, but i think if you get up to speed (away from traffic; low use street would be best) and after you let off gas, shift into neutral and then brake as you normally would, and see if it still sputters/dies.

beyond that, check for vacuum leaks, starting with the brake booster vac. lines. when you stop, or put in park, you are depressing the brake, so it could be relatable.

FireFighter-- did you check all of these out, especially the vacuum lines? If so, what were the results?

well when i put it in neutral then brake/ stop it will not sputter.
i havent looked for any vacuum leaks wouldnt even know how to find that. =(

i did a dianostic test a few weeks ago saying that I HAVE 4 TROUBLE COEDS.

i have changed 2 sensors.

its says that the

Idle Air Ctrl Motor Circs** Ive changed this one**

Throttle Position Sensor voltage high.

Inlet Air Temp Voltage high ** and this one**

ECT Sens Voltage Too High.

would these cause the sputtering??

Sounds like a misfire to me, pull your spark plugs out.

Things you'll want to look for
-Check the gap
-Make sure they are not fouled (all gunked up)
-Look at the porcelain (the white part) for black lines running up them, this is called carbon tracking and would indicate the plug is cracked.

Does it happen when the vehicle is wet or dry, or does this matter?

The TPS may cause your vehicle to do funny things as well.

Well it does it when it's dry. But when it's really wet outside it really runs like **** and the motor light comes on. I mean the car will sputter really bad, it will stall and it's hard to get it back on.

Try this, when it's dry with your engine running take a spray bottle and spray water starting with the wires, then spray the coil. If the car starts to run rough then something is shorting out.
