this mount is for an automatic tranny. rockauto says it will fit my 2002 dodge neon se, BUT it looks like it only has 4 mounting holes instead of 5. IT should be 4 in front a 1 after the shifter cable...wtf?? anyone use this mount before? ALSO, on the autozone AND orielly's website has the same part. WILL it work on my NEON???
According to Anchor, the 2975 is indeed the correct part for the automatic transmission on 00-02 Neons. I didn't know there was a different part number for 00-02s.
you know what i just rememberd that Before i got my neo the guy swapped out tranny's because the old one was fugged, so I donno what year my tranny is... i guess i gota pull the battery and plate and find out. OR it might be marked on the tranny by the salvage yard in yellow paint. thanks. roush. you da man bro.
A 2002 Dodge Neon automatic transmission is unique to the 2002. It should have been another 2002, but I believe a '03-'05 might work. I haven't heard of anyone actually having a '03-'05 transmission in a 2002 though. All been theory so far.
So, I took out the battery box and looked at the tranny mount bolts and the part number on my mount is 04668626AC wich is the original mount from dodge. it looks as if anchor 2975 does not fit. but DEA 1936-01139982 DOES fit. wierd huh?? any thoughts?
Ok I figured it out darth,... My tranny was swapped before I got my car and apparantly its from an 03 neon, because the 03 tranny mount fits my car. so anchor 2975 wont fit, but the 3124 will.
