Does your car have a grey sentry key?

Or is it the standard key with a black top?

If you have the standard black key than it could be the PCM.

Have you checked all the fuses? The 20 amp ASD fuse in the engine compartment in particular.

Just for clarity tge remote entry that I put in is the stock keyless system.
Any other suggestions for this?
The car is showing these codes
P1684 P1193 and P0508
Could any of these make my car not start?

It has the standard black key. I have checked all fuses and will probably recheck them again tonight

I would take the ASD 20 amp fuse out to make sure it's good.

If it's good, than it could be the PCM.

The asd is a relay and I'm pretty sure I can here it clicking, ill check it again tonight.
If I was to go to the local used parts yard and get a pcm out of a 2000 or 2001 neon would there be a problem with me putting that into my car? Do I have to get it programmed or anything like that ?

Does the fuel pump run for 3 seconds when you turn the key on?

You should be able to get one from the junk yard / pick a part, without programming it.

There is a 20 amp fuse that's called ASD, it's the main fuse for the PCM & ASD relay among other things.

I will be sure to re check all relays tonight. And if nothing I will probably be taking a trip to the local upull to look for a pcm. I just need to get this figured out. It is getting very expensive to drive the truck. I just need to know for sure that putting a used pcm into this won't hurt it in any way before I go through with it.

It won't hurt anything, it will either work or the problem is something else.

I replaced the pcm. The car now will turn over and start so that was the problem. But I got a used pcm and the car runs terribly with it in. Does this mean the pcm is not right for my car or do I need to have it programmed for my car.
