Check to confirm if it's running on all cylinders, or just two cylinders first.

If it's only running on two cylinders, than the PCM could be defective.

The only pcm I was able to find at the yard did have water in one of the plug sockets and I was sure that it wouldn't run but I plugged it in and it made the car run but terribly. So maybe that's the case. But would a pcm need to be reprinted to my car if I got a used one or should I be able to plug it in and everything should run fine

As far as I know, the PCM would only need reprogramming if you had the grey sentry key.

But you have the standard black key, so as long as you have the PCM with the correct part number it should work.

I found a place on the Internet that sells refurbished pcms and when you buy one they claim to program it with my vin number my mileage and the part number of my old computer. They have great reviews and they offer returns if the product doesn't work for my car they also offer lifetime warranty so I think this is what I will be trying next.

If you are frying PCMs (and you are sure that's what it is), you should be checking grounds and power wires to and from the PCM.

What do you mean by "bump"? I don't use forums often.
Thanks

You type "bump" or "TTT" (to the top) in your thread. New posts bring the thread up to the top of the list, so it's front and center, so to speak, for everyone to see.

The connections the the pcm are touching each other as bare wire or the sheathing has cracked/pulled loose to where they rub or ground out on the body/frame. I'd check starting at the pcm connection/harness and start removing the tape & wire loom, tracing it to the fuse box.

I had this happen when I was looking for an a/c compressor issue blowing fuses when I mashed on the gas pedal & the engine "torqued" poppig the fuse.
