i'm new to this site, had a couple questions. don't know much about car stuff, but started getting into it since i bought my car. i have a 05 dodge neon srt-4...design... yea i know, give me crap all u srt4-ers haha. so i don't have all the fancy engine stuff. so i've been looking up stuff for it. heard a lot of "do this and do that". so i'm asking you guys, what is better for my car...getting a supercharger or turbo? and do any of you guys know how much psi my stock internals can push without messing stuff up? and if u guys have any recommendations, prices, or brands, or anything, just let me know, i'm willing to take any info. thanks everyone

 

srt-4 is turbo'd stock, leave it TC'd

 

^^^no - he has a srt DESIGN car - no turbo - it is just a stock neon with ground effects and the spoiler.

Honestly - it is pretty new if you have an srt-design. Why would you buy that if you plan to turbo/sc it anyway???? You'll spend easily the difference just putting one on, and it won't have the reliability/durability. You are going to have to spend 3 large for the turbo setup, 1200 for a lsd, whatever for a transmission... Just trade it in and get a real srt-4 that you can mod the **** out of.

Don't play if you can't afford to pay. You'll end up regretting it, in general.

I tried Turbo'ing an SXT and I found out(the hard way) that the HP gains and amount of time/ $$ is not worth it. Do what I did, trade 'er in and get an SRT-4 before they are gone!! and like Adam (posthonda...) said you can mod the **** outta them with out really worrying.

 

Im gettin my 04 auto sxt a hahn stage 2 turbo next year after my extended warrenty is over need that more than I need the turbo so Id go with a hahn racecraft turbo but if yours is stick then id get a srt4 turbo since you got the looks of one somewhat I would say yours looks inbetween a srt4 and a sxt . I can so tell a srt4 from a srt design very easy. Anyway you can get a srt4 setup pretty cheap and save you the insurance money and building your own turbo ride is way funner. Alot on srt4 forums has done the setup in there sxts or 2nd gen or even 1st gens . Im with midnight the spoiler is so awesome on my sxt also and so is the exhaust.
