I was wondering, which headers you two were going with, the OBX Race header or OBX header and down pipe? And also what solution proved to work with eliminating the check engine light after the cat was removed?
theyre the same thing. i dont have it anymore, i have a cat now and a srt exhaust, but to get out of it, i used the spark plug nonfouler trick. you have to take 2 spark plug nonfoulers, drill one out, and then screw your o2 sensor into it and then that into your pipe. i dont remember the specifics like the size of the nonfouler or the drill bit, but i think its here on the forums, just do a little searching and im sure youll find it. search spark plug nonfouler

Both the nonfouler and the sensor worked for me but i still ended up taking the downpipe and having a high flow cat fit into it. Makes it sound better and is still smog legal now.

well my main question is, i have a cat, should my car still be throwing that code? from the way you guys have been experiencing things, it seems as though when you had the downpipe you got the code, but when you replaced it with a cat, you didn't throw any more codes. likei said i have a cat and everything and i'm still throwing the code (cat is pretty new got it 3 months ago). some people say that i need either a new cat or sensor, but i don't like the idea of spending money on parts when i am just gettin the run around. anyone else have this problem? also, where exactly is the second 02 sensor supposed to be located, inside the cat or after?

no you shouldnt be throwin a code. it is either a bad cat or sensor. since the cat is new, id say bad sensor. it is located on the cat itself. and also, the trick sensor has been known not to work for everyone. and the nonfouler is vey cheap, but i wouldnt try to trick the comp. if you have a prob, you should fix it

thats what i intend to do, i don't want to "trick" the computer i want to have everything workin correctly
i will probably go out and and buy a new sensor hopefully that will be it. it is the downstream sensor right? and the second one screws directly into it thats how i have it now?

i was told that if i were to put the OBX race head on i would need to put a cat on it no matter what because if there isnt one, the backpressure would be enough...no whether or not this makes sense i dont know....

????
