Well i got my throttle body today. I was soooo stoked until i opened up thebox and found they had dropped it on the seal and smashed it in. Not just a small little ding.... a freaking good sized smush.

 

That bites, was it insured?

 

i got it from howell so i am going to give them a ring tomorrow and see what they will do.

yea. Well it turns out someone i know works at fed ex. and someone at the station through the box and they heard a rather loud twang. Either way... its being sent off to fed ex. They picked it up today to be looked at for re-imbersement. I hope they give me my money back... becuase i am not going to let this go. I payed 280 bucks for a broken part... i think now[&:]

I am looking into the Borla Headers before I slap that baby on and I might know a place to pick one up (for anyone who is interested).

 

Well from the picture it looks like Howell could have dropped it. Its not like FedEx wrapped the item for Howell, so unless FedEx ran it over with a truck, replaced boxes and reprinted shipping tags i dont see how FedEx bent a metal part in a cushioned box...that still sucks the big one though, you should give Howell a ring.

 

well, no matter who is at fault, fed ex or more likely howell... someone owes you a new part or your 280 bucks plus shipping (maybe some cupons, discounts, etc for the hassel too)

well, it was wrapped in one layer of bubble wrap and nothing else. So that and knowing handeling personnell at places dont do the best they can to make sure things dont get dropped or broken... its pretty reasonable to assume fed ex was the ones who are to blame. If anything i will call up howell and ask wth is going on but im pretty sure it wasnt them. I have had really good service with them in the past and all parts came in without a scratch.

If it doesnt get re-imbersed im going to go to a machine shop and see if they cant roll it back. It might work but it still wont be as good as it could be[:'(]
