Turbo or NOS
Now i have just sold my turbo car and am wanting to do a turbo on my 01 SE but i dont know if the car can hadle it, it has a fue mods now but how long will it last before i blow it up i was runing a 55 shot in if for a week or 2 but i took it out i hate nos it is fake as hell.. Now how much will i need to spend to get it turboed i have always done a big kit my supra i just sold was running about 500 whp but this is my dayley driver i wold like about 300 -350 whp.. I also have a fue spare turbos laying around and i want to use them i have the stalk turbos from a 87 supra and a turbo of a early 90s subaru i would like some feedback i have the cash for it i sold my supra for 10k

I've seen a 400 whp Neon with a turbo. It's not really pushing it at all; you'll have to build the internals up though. Hahn has a turbo kit with an intercooler at Modern Performance for around 3300 dollars. Howell sells the same kit for around 3700 dollars. If u put a turbo your Neon you'll still have to do more to the engine to get it to around 300-350 whp. Like i said, you'll have to upgrade some internals.
Of course u can customize a turbo setup for way cheaper if u know what you are doing.

I have always had someone install the turbo kits for me i just buy what they tell me to.. So will it be easyest to just buy the kit or to build it myself? The guy who did all my turbo work moved out of state and there isnt anyone that will touch my car in state because its not a import so i will be doing it all myself.. I know i will need to build up the block but with what that is what i have been asking...

I say buy a kit if you have the money to do so...the current kit on the market will cost you $4500 or so complete, then another $1,200 for the bottom end kit, and $1,200 for the top end kit...by then you'll be able to run major boost, so it wouldnt make any sense to buy the SRT-4 turbo...

ha ha 350 ponys in a neon se... with a 2.0 hahahaha money cant buy that, nor can boost. like most other threds in here say... do one of two things, sell your car and buy a srt-4, or put a srt-4 motor in your car. that is if any of this is true.... which it does not seem to be.
