lowe compression and yes you need pisons rods but while you at it just replace all the bearings and oilpump. just buy a bottum end rebuild kit from modern it comes with every thing you need. but before you are gonna need too take the block that you plan building too machine shop so they can meusure it for you. because if it is a older block it might have worn out sleeve so then you might want too get over bored pistons

it depends on tuning but you can push over 30 if you tune it right but pushing that much boost is kinda boost is kinda pointles 15psi is good number too aim for. because more boost means more spark retart and more more spark retart means less power.

im not really sure i was thinking about the srt-4 one because i was going to so the simple setup and run 5 lbs, but now that ill prob build up my bottem end i dont know. i don't really want to spend that much more than the srt setup would cost me because i think that would work just fine, but what do you have in mind?

Supposedly, if you bore the SRT-4 turbo you can get it to hit 21-25psi of boost, which should be in the 300whp range...but you could just go for a 16g like they use on the Hahn kits, it would give you a bit more room to expand on, if you do go with the bottom end rebuild that is. If your not planning on the rebuild kit anytime soon, but would still like to get boost going on your car, just get the SRT-4 turbo/manifold and when your engine is ready, crank up the boost on that or buy a new turbo.

Obviously there would other things that would need to be upgraded as well, its not as simple as just slapping a bigger turbo on just because you have the bottom end built...
