okay....so im ready to buy megaquirt now....so....one more time just for confirmation....which should i get....REMEMBER...i will be installing a turbo on my car later in the near future....and why do you suggest ms-1 over ms-2 for the neon???? thanks 03neonrt.....

i want to go the build it yourself way...
This link will give you all the info you need to purchase your MS kit, whether its the prebuilt unit or the DIY kit... https://dodgeforum.com/m_677291/tm.htm

As for MS-I over MS-II...the MS-II chip set is a more powerful upgrade over the MS-I processor, you wont be doing nearly enough tuning and controlling enough things in order to utilize the much more pwoerful MS-II chipset, so thats why I suggest the MS-I...besides, MS-II is still in a "beta" stage and ALL Neons and SRT-4's are running MS-I that I know of, so its more than proven for this application.

$200 for the turbo/manifold is an average price so I would buy it...you will need a lot more things to make it all work, but its a start!! As for the manifold adaptor plate, the only place to buy them is from Mattdog over at NEONS . ORG, just PM him to order, price shipped with gaskets is $216.00...

Alright dude....let me help you out with this whole turbo thing because im doing the same thing you are....basicly looks like you dont want to spend a whole lot of money but you want a turbo...not gonna happen...there are threads all over this site already answering your questions but here you go....you will need AT LEAST....the turbo and that exhaust manifold duh....the adapter plate duh....400.00 so far...you will need the wastegate actuator/trigger if he's not giving you one 100.00 avg....you dont NEED to run a intercooler but it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED you can get a cheap one for like 200.00 on ebay...you will need a bigger turbo exhaust...ebay for 250.00 and up.....you will also need a bunch of plumbing and t fittings crap like that....I dont know if its a must but you will need a bigger fuel pump100.00...better oil pump ??...some kind of computer upgrade most likely Megasquirt for 400.00...a boost controller, boost gauge, fuel injectors......DUDE the list goes on and on....but i can tell you....you are at least looking at 1,000 bucks easy....and thats for a safe 6-7 psi setup....when you want higher then you have to forge your internals...thats at least 800.00...so good luck to ya....right now im going for some parts that will give me some power immediately because I know my turbo project is going to take awhile....

Sorry 03 Neon Rt but i read up some more and have yet another question....lol anyway...Here’s a quote for a pretty complete system with the ECU/Stim un-assembled:

MS130-K $189
MSStim21-K $48
MSHarness $68
IATwPiggy $21 IAT Sensor
38NPT-Bung_S $8 Bung for mounting IAT sensor (steel weld on, or JB-Weld on)
TuneCable $6.50
USB-2920 $22 (Only needed if you laptop doesn’t have a true DB9 port)
Subtotal without wideband-- $362.50

got a couple questions...i read about the wideband o2 sensor...seems helpful...do i want that??? Next question is do i want everything listed in that quote or am I missing anything in that quote? I just dont want to buy the wrong stuff...

But yes i know now that i want MS-1 v3.0....but what about that other stuff he lists and the wideband o2 sensor??

A wideband 02 is a must in my opinion, I would suggest the AEM ($280.00) simply because its cheaper then the Innovative Motorsports ($400.00)wideband and basically does the same function for what you'll be using it for...as for the quote, it looks like everything is there. There are other things you could get, like fuel injector connectors crimped with a 6" pigtail (or you could just by a crimping tool), wire relay panel, or other things like that to make the wiring and install easier, but all the basic components are there...

Im seeing wideband o2 sensors from innovative motorsports and bosch for only around 70.00.....just for the sensor....you price is way up there so are you saying i need the wideband sensor and the little controller/programmer they sometimes come with that make them super expensive?? i was hoping just a wideband o2 sensor would work with megasquirt...hoping i didnt need that programmable o2 thing...
