yea, im in agreement. I have raced a newer tibby back when my car was jane stock. Got my butt handed to me. But... i might have a chance after my header.

 

I'm PRETTY sure it was a Tiburon 4 cylinder.
It might have been an Elantra, but I usually don't have enough time to look at the opposing car.
I just saw the Hyundai logo and the general shape for about a second before I kept
my eyes locked on the stoplight.
Most of the time these races come out of nowhere, and I don't instigate them 90% of the time.

Hehe, the other day I actually decided to taunt a black 90's Civic hatchback with a fart can.
He let me get a head start and I heard a good noise behind me... then all of a sudden
the Civic just goes CRAZY loud and blows by me.
I swear it sounded like it was running at 12,000 RPMS...
I've heard that sound before, I think his car was on the bottle... he had to get
in that RPM range to safely use it...

God I need a 5 speed and a turbo so bad...

 

how do you fuigure that an imprezza is slower than a r/t. A stock r/t is 150 hp and a imprezza WAGON is 227 hp. explain yourself.

 

an sti would walk on a srt4 with no porblem!! i would spend the extra 5 or 6 grand on a used sti then on a new srt. turbo, all wheel drive cant be beat.

 

theres a good chance that the civic behind you was running a dump exhaust and a mugan motor.10500 rmp redline and faster than an srt4 by a long shot.

 

You sir are a dumbass, an Impreza has 165HP/166TQ and runs a 16.1-16.3 1/4 mile...while an R/T can run 15.9-16.1 stock. Although it does have more torque and AWD to its advantage, the Neon weighs almost 500lb less...


Well no **** an STi would beat a stock SRT-4.

why is it that you insist that it would be better to but an srt4 rather than an sti?

 

Impreza 2.5 RS = 2.5l SOHC w/ 165hp/166tq
Impreza 2.0 DOHC Turbo (WRX) = 227hp/217tq
Impreza 2.5 DOHC Turbo (STI) = 300hp/300tq

 

the subaru impreza is a non turbo 4 cylinder.....it doesnt get the turbo unless you go WRX
my mom has a 2004 WRX wagon....that thing is fast....it would smoke the hell outta my 98 r/t

a stage 2 srt 4 with some other mods can beat a stock STI....alot of people think that is the ****....but think about it, you put 5,000 into an srt4 to beat a stock STI....what if you put 5,000 into an STI????

if i had a choice between an srt 4 and an sti i would deffinately choose the STI......actually i would even chose a regular WRX

a stock wrx is slower then a stock srt4...mostly due to the weight factor.....but i would choose AWD any day
