thank you sir for your input. i was not trying to be rude or a dumbass. i was just curious what his logic was behind his comments. My coworker has an imprezza wagon with only a cai and has an auto tranny. We have yet to line them up but i would be very suprised if i beat him. My other coworker has a highly moded wrx wagon and is pushing over 320 whp.

 

my moms WRX wagon in an automatic and it wont have a problem walking away from me.....of the line i think i could beat it....but within a few seconds the WRX would be gone......now if the WRX was a manual, it would smoke the hell outta me...

now a regular impreza impreza wouldnt be a problem for me....

 

i have a100 gallon tank full of 100LL avgas, its reserve for emegencies like when gas is $5 a gal, it works good, just not ALL the time

One thing you can say about neons is that $ for $ they are good performing cars.You take that $20,000 srt ,put $10000 into it then race that stock $30,000 Suby and see what hapens??,and so on. Stock $2,000 5spd beater neon + $6,000 srt swap = tons of fun, and should outrun most $20,000 imports. Parts are cheap (relatively).,and plentifull.

 

i would still rather have the $30,000 sube
