DCx recommends changing spark plugs every 30,000 miles and replacing the plug wires when they show signs of wear or corrosion. I change my plugs every 20,000 miles and do the plug wires at the same interval.

Still wondering if the code I got 'Cylinder #1 misfire' means a plug or wire...

will probably try the $1.79 each plugs first.....

and still think the prices we are discussing about plug wires is an aweful lot.....

come on, $30 to $45 for (4)- 5 or 6 inch wires?

i change my wires every 25k (rec. at 30k). but the plugs themselves i try to remember to check each oil change for buildup. they are cheap enough to replace at least semi-annually. just remember to plug the wire back in the whole way so you arent running on 3cyls like i was for about a week. and i wondered why my mileage was sucking a$$

the copper plugs like the ones in your car now work just as well as the majority of plugs you could buy. They are relatively cheap and do a good job. If your looking for something a tid bit more pricey, look at iridium plugs

Buy some Denso plugs if you feel like spending $60 every time...
