Are the 00-05 Neon hoods the same?

Cool, I wanted to make sure before I sold my stock one too the kid down the street. He ran his 04 under a hitch of a 4x4 in a parking lot.

think even an SRT hood will fit, but it hangs over the non-SRT grilles a bit....

 

how much does it hang over grill? I got a guy at workin tryin to sell me his srt hood

 

The srt-4 hood comes up like 1/4" to short if i remember correctly, i've seen it swaped a lot but i have know idea where to look to get you a link sorry.

 

Correct. A regular Neon hood will hang over the SRT-4 front bumper...while the SRT-4 hood will be slightly shorter on a regular Neon bumper...its not much, like 1/4"-1/2" or so.

 

So what the fix if someone want to run a SRT 4 hood? Do they need to go to the srt front end too or does someone make a hood like the SRT hood for the none SRT neon?

 

take a look at the post on "Hawaii meet pics", like the 3rd pic down, for a close up on a bunch of hoods for reference, but I think they are all SRT's..
I'm sure they make a look alike hood, but it's probably C.F. and costs at least 700 clams
