Hey, I'm Ron. I live in Southern WV. I recently bought an '01 Neon SE for my wife as a Valentine's day gift. 4 days after putting the down payment on it we were involved in a slow speed wreck ~10-12 MPH.

Before:

After:

After about a month of fighting we got "Cherie" back and she's looking better than ever. I haven't taken pics of it yet but if you want I'll humor all of you.
My experience so far with this car is pleasurable, I've no complaints thus far. Besides my wife loves it!

LOL! No, the cat wasn't on it. That's actually the handprint of one of the guys at the towyard. I'm going to get a good backdrop and take a nice picture today. Too bad I can't give it a proper bath for a month because of the fresh paint. No matter what though I can't keep the cats off of it.

I see a joke in there, not going to touch it though.

Well, I am now (again) a proud SX 2.0 owner! Just bought an '05 with the SRT4 hood. It has a deep gouge in the rear drivers' side door that carries to the rear quarter-panel. I have also found a parts car that has all of the pieces I need intact. Anyone know how hard it is to strip a rear quater panel off an '05? The colours are off, but I got the good car for $4k and the donor car is $350, so paint is a low cost.

Default 2000 Dodge Durango

Hello all! As a result of my wife asking me to stop using her BMW X3 as the DogMobile for my 10 month old Black German Shepherd I bought a 2000 Dodge Durango from a friend of mine on Saturday. It has been sitting for over a year and has 118, 800 miles on it. It desperately needs brakes, and all fluids need to be changed. I'm doing that now with a friend of mine. After that I'll slap on a new set of tires and align them. Then lastly, I'll take a look at the heater core and AC condenser and see if they need to be replaced. The interior is mint and the exterior is 8 out of a 10. He threw in 6 extra rims with the Durango and the spare has never been dropped. What else was there? 2 new serpentine belts, the complete Service manuals, new rear pads, and new front calipers still in their box. I couldn't find the owners manual inside the glove compartment so I have to reach out and ask . . . dose anyone have that .PDF for me?
Thx - John

Default I don't make money, I make gifts.

Well, I received a fully loaded 2000 Plymouth Neon as payment for some work I did for a guy, and I was told that the timing belt has snapped. I haven't had the time to dissect it as of yet, but there is coolant dripping from the water pump area. I'm going to inspect the cylinders with a borescope when I get home from work tomorrow. Obviously, I'm hoping that the valves have not been impacted on this interference engine...

I am a long time, all around gear head / Mr. fix-it. I enjoy building race cars using mostly junkyard parts (JDM & USDM) and machine work, and generally just doing what I do.

Stay tuned! I will create a thread for this car with pics from the borescope and keep everyone updated as to progress made.
