jus made this lol my name id dan from ny live in highland now. gay *** place but whatever. im about to start a srt 4 swap in my 2000 purple plymouth neon and well its done up now but im wanting a turbo n boostin my car will be cheaper for insurence. and i got a ? if anyone can answer it im about to do a swap to my 2000 plymouth neon and i was wondering whitch harnesses i need to change and if i have to do the fuel lines from the take to flex tube to fuel rail.

No real mods (just some upgraded headlight bulbs). Now i am looking to upgrade some minor things on my reliable daily driver.

Owned a 2005 Dodge Neon SXT for about 3 months now, shes my baby and already getting me in trouble haha license is currently suspended due to a speeding ticket, figured while I'm down I'll start looking around for some parts and upgrades already got the MSD 8.5 mm wires, I'll be posting a thread here in a few minutes about my plans, hoping you guys could help me out with this thanks looking forward to it

 

My name is Rick and I joined the forum only yesterday specifically for the purpose of thanking everyone who's had the same "gremlin" as I've recently experienced and posted their findings and solutions here for the benefit of all. Without these postings I too would've quickly gone bald from the pulling. My engine suddenly shut-down in traffic last Friday on my way home from work and luckily I was able to coast nearly all the way home. I had NO clue of what may have caused this occurrence and without the info in these pages I would have never known to look at the #10 fuse (the one in the dash box) and know that a wire in one of the harnesses was shorting to ground at the front of the tranny. The standard "H....." manual shows nothing compared to the info that can be had from all of the personal experience gathered here and I sure do appreciate having the insight. The internet can be used in many ways for good and bad. Keep up "the good" that's being done here and I'll keep coming back for more. Thanks to you all!

 

Hi everyone I'm Adrianna and I'm 22 living in Virginia Beach due to military. I just joined this forum today to see if anyone else is having the same problems I have had with my neon. My firts car was a 2000 neon and she was my baby. Bought her back in '09 and totaled her a month and a half ago. So now I drive a 2004 neon SXT. Still miss my baby lol.

 

Hey, here to keep my girlfriends 04 SXT, 2.0 sohc up to shape, overall needs a fair bit of TLC. As of now, Windshield replacement, shocks/struts have 120k so they need to be changed, that pesky oil dissappearing problem, possible future heater core fail, cuz it stinks when i turn the blowers on, creaking when i turn, not sure thats a huge deal. And a bit of a stall when accelerating sometimes, nothing major. Oh yea a massive grinding noise which i've been told is the passenger side lower motor mount near the frame and a belt. Glad its tax season. the whole car has 120k on it, hoping to get it well over 200k. I've grown to like this car, and I've taken an interest in SRT-4's because of it. We live in Dallas TX.

Hi! I'm Val I have a 2000 black neon, and I love her! She's awesome and I have high ambitions to keep her running forever! (we are at just over 228,000 now) Have had her since new, and shes seriously what her windshield says

 

I just bought my Neon a few days ago. Drove one a couple years back, loved it, and found one for sale about an hour from my house.

2001 Neon SE, automatic. 137,000 miles. Previous owner was a lady, car broke down, she sold it to a garage. They replaced the computer, battery, and 4 tires. Fuel rail looks new also. Drove it home without incident.

No owners manual, so I will probably acquire one off eBay in a few days.

Went to Wal-mart yesterday.. got some new wiper blades, windshield wiper fluid, and STP fuel system cleaner- preventative thing I do with any car I buy. Full tank of gas, and off to O'Reilley's for a locking gas cap.

imagine my surprise to see another Red 2nd Generation Neon parked 5 cars down in my little town of 5,700 people. I saw a blue one in town also.

got a few bugs.. drivers door lock just spins 360 degrees both ways.. gotta unlock passenger door to get in.. seems like there is a CD stuck, but radio seeks and works.

thats about it for now, hope to learn something here
