I inherited at 2004 Neon NXT from my mom just this week. She bought it new; it only has 41K miles on it. It's still in TN where she lived, but I'm planning on shipping or driving or getting someone to drive it here.
It's bright yellow with a spoiler. I've driven it a few times but not much. I've not been able to find out a NXT model anywhere. Would love some feedback.
It's an automatic and I think a 4 cylinder but I'm not sure. Any info or advice is greatly appreciated. My mom loved her car...

 

WTF, PLEASE HELP!!!! I have a '99 Plymoth Neon that chuggs till I rev the engine and when Im maintaing speed. I have gave it a tune up changed the O2 sensors and checked the fuel filter with no positive results. Do you have any answers or suggestions?

Sold my 90 skyline gts 4 due to a broken leg a few months back . Picked up a 2000 Chrysler Neon LE with 155000 kms

So far so good .

Aftermarket tails/ heads / side mirrors / cherry bomb turbo / k&N typhoon
White and blue dash accents.

Replaced valve cover gasket set pcv valve plugs and wires brake pads and shoes

got some monroe quick struts on the way

i have a 2003 sx and the main code ive had is 441. but a week ago we put fuel in and didnt make it 20 miles. we had to get towed ,since then i took off the gas tank drained the fuel replaced the sump filter ,air filter , fuel pressure regulator/filter ,spark plugs,idle motor, checked the evap canister,solenoid,cleaned the injectors.now im getting 562,700,113 , but mostly 700 . the car will start and idle for a while then it will stall i erase the codes then it starts again sometimes. if i dont erase the codes it wont even fire ??? please help im freakin out over here!

Hello everyone.
I own a 2001 Neon bought with 10K miles as a "program" car.
Now at 155,600 miles, I got the double whammy... Head gasket and Tranny cooler at the same time.
I was hoping to get some help here, but I had to go it alone while I waited for my account to be activated.
Lessons learned-
1. Advance Auto sells a head gasket kit that SUPPOSEDLY has all the gaskets you will need. Mine came with a completely different valve cover gasket. No trades allowed since it was a "kit" and had been opened.
2. The Haynes manual isn't a great book. If you happen to be mechanically inclined, you can get enough info to get through the job, but if you need step by step instructions, I would suggest you look elsewhere.
3. Again with Advance, they sold me the radiator for the 4sp auto. According to the computer, mine had the 4 sp. Wrong radiator. They did trade it for the correct one, but I lost $20 in the deal.

I am Jeff, 37, and live in southern NH. I have a 2000 neon with 235k and still going. I have taken care of my car and do the maintenance when needed. I have done a few mods such as fenderwell cold air intake, high flow cat, muffler, hollowed out the CAT in the manifold and did the O2 trick to fool the computer. I like these cars and they seem to last when treated right.
