To markansas
Try piping off the door panel and see if all the connecting rods for the lock system are connected that maybe why the lock spins and welcome to the forum

I’m dean I live Grafton Ohio (pretty boring town)
I have black 2000 5-speed neon with a cai and semi re done interior (kid I bought I from painted a few things on the inside)
I just started getting into cars and over time I’d like to put in
Power windows (any advice on hard this is to do?)
Powers locks/a door pop system with shaven handles
Put in a keyless entry that would work with the door pop
Re build engine and Trans
Getting all four matching rims lol (only have 3)
Put in short shifter
Basically just start dumping endless amounts of cash into my car I just don’t know where to start

Ill post pictures in few days if anyone is interested

Default Greetings from the Great Land!!!

Guten tag!!!! (Not German, bu7t I speak a little bit)

For the moment ya'll can call me Airborne. I am born and raised Alaskan. I just hit the dirty 30's!! I am a combat veteran (4 tours) of the US army. My MOS (job in the army for those who don't know) was Airborne Infantry (hence the reason why I say call me airborne). I was stationed at Ft Bragg, NC. Then transferred to Ft Richardson upon my re-enlistment. I am currently a student at UAA. My intended majors are business management and automotive service technician. However I may switch to get my assoc in Welding.

I have owned 2 neons to date. My first one was a '98 Neon R/T. My current one is a '01 Neon (base model). Both (and the rest of my vehicles) are manual transmissions (prefer not to have automatics)

I DO have plans to mod my car for street/strip purposes

Default hello

hi im new to the forum, i live in Sacramento California and recently have come into some issues with my 2004 dodge ram quad cab slt 4.7 v8. I was driving down the road when the motor died instantly after idling very loud, once i managed to fire it back up i could hear a pretty loud ticking, with out tearing the motor down it sounds like Ive spun a rod bearing, i know for sure its the 8 cylinder. worst part is that im at around 8 years and 78,500 miles, supper bumbed that im just out of warranty. so my question is im am trying to find a replacement motor. im looking for a re-manufactured motor in my area not only at an affordable price but from a reliable source. any help would greatly be appreciated being is how i use this vehicle every day for my mobile business. thanks in advance!

Talking

Herro,

I be Natalie. I'm 23 & from a small town just north of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Bought my '04 SX 2.0 (canuck version) in May 2010.
Car is dark gray with stock spoiler & fog lights. Actually, the whole thing is stock, except for rims lol
Joined forum because of the numerous problems I've encountered with this vehicle and wanted to bounce ideas off of people who are knowledgeable.
As much as I love this car, (being my first), it has been nothing but trouble lol.
It's taught me to buy standard in the future :P, for 1 thing.
In the 22 months I've owned it, I've had to put in approx. $3'500.
(tranny rebuild, tie rod ends, new tires & rims, etc)
Still needs another $2'000ish thanks to the moron who backed into the side of it.
I was just blessed with a lemon I guess lol
After all that, I still love the car & how it rides. Just a note to future buyers to definitely have a thorough inspection of the car done before you consider purchasing it.
