Clicking noises.
Ok. I have a few concerns about my 2003 Dodge Neon SXT.
When it starts in cold weather it knocks but goes away after about 30 seconds to a minute. As far as I heard this is normal engine knock because the piston rings contract when they're cold but expand to fit when it warms up. Is this explanation and behavior right and charactaristic of most Neons?
Also, There is a stange rapid clicking comming from the engine when it runs. the clicks accur in a steady pace. it sounds like the lifters are clicking but I know I also have a belt problem with squeeling and such, could the sound be from the belt and pullies? or could it be a problem with the lifters? (I put a Qt. of Lucas in it to see if that helped quiet the lifters if it was them and no difference)

Kinda off topic, but as far as the cold weather goes, here in manhattan, ks we had our first nice 55 degree day since like a month. That just made me think about the sping coming and getting to drive and work on my car again, woot!
