Default strut bar

Ok, I was thinking about buying a strut bar to better the handling and add some 'flare' under the hood. Now, my question is... will taking off the 3 bolts on the strut towers adjust anything or screw up the suspention? or are they safe to take off without screwing it all up?

as long as you dont jack your car up at the same time, you will be fine..... im pretty sure you will not have any problems if you follow the directions that usually come with the bar.....im doing the same thing as soon asi get my car back from the trasmission guy.

Nope you will be fine...the front strut bars dont do that much in the area of improving handling on our cars anyways, so you dont need to spend $120.00 on a DC sports one. The Vibrant or even Ebay kind will be fine for a little show, and little added performance.

Have fun. If on the ground first no problems at all. If you are airborne you may need to have someone hold the strut back up. But as far as alignment issues NONE. Just have fun. Just added a rear myself and it was a big improvement.

haha, gratz on the strut bar. Hope everything goes well.

I have a DC (front and rear) on mine... i have pics in my gallery of it. Looks so nice. Make sure your garage is fairly level... doing the install on a slope is not recommended. (Oh... and you should feel a little less body roll when cornering really hard)

if your only removing 3 out of the 4 you shouldnt have any kind of problems with the strut 'falling down' hell, i didn mine with the car sitting in a level driveway. it took the better part of 5 minutes for the front. the rear was a bit more tricky as i had to cut out two small slits to lineup with where the bar would go through the trunk liner

i also had a problem with my bar being too 'high' and close to the hood. it cleard just fine except it caused my windshield washer nozzels to break off at the bottom tip. i simply replaced them with some aftermarket led ones which had shorter stems and ran my washer fluid lines through the hood support and the problem was solved.
ps. i have yet to hook up the led lights
