megasquirt progress thread
i didnt get a cable through them, also didnt work on the car much today, so i wont make a "jjournal entry". i will say though that my acordian thingy between my intake and tb somehow got completely crapped up, like the metal inside is TOTALLY messed up, so i had to take it out, and i counldnt even fix it, so i had to get some couplers and pvc piping lol much better now.
i honestly have no idea at all, ill take some pix of it tomorrow maybe to show you guys, its terrible lol. also spark is going on tomorrow, so maybe ill habe no more engine lol cant wait
day 16 (5-19-07) - hooked up spark today, after switching the wires accidentally, then switching them back, i got it started. idle wasnt too pretty though, it is jumpy, but i think it may be my iac messing with it. ill try unplugging it tomorrow to see if that fixes the problem. if not, im up for ideas anyone
day 17 (5-20-07) - found out my problem. its my iac goin nuts, so i need to get around it somehow. revs fine up to about 6000, so i need to fix some timing crap. also, i need to retune all of my cranking settings and afterstart enrichments, because now my car wants more fuel to start, shouldnt be that bad though, i just need to add a few milliseconds to it. its comin along yay
day 18 (5-21-07) - retuned cranking settings and afterstart settings, now it can start when the motor is as cold as 70 degrees. ill have to wair for colder weather for the rest. i found out why i had a break up at about 6300, and i am trying to fix it now. idle is ok because i made it very rich until i fix the iac problem. did a highway pull today and i was very impressed. the only thing i need to fix is that when i floor it from a stop it stalls out haha so i need some work on that. its comin along good
