15w 40 is not bad for a v8 i run it and never have issues even in -40 weather

I never had issues either but I thought maybe the engine would work less harder if I put lighter weight oil in it. I was even running 15-40 in my 88 honda accord.
Lately I've been running Valvoline High Mileage 10W30. My dad recommended it to me. He's been using it in his ram for years. What do you guys think of it?
I run Quaker State 10w-30 High Mileage with a fram tough guard filter and Engine Restore. I've changed oils over the years but ALWAYS used Engine Restore.
