Its AEM then... Mine has a weird bend in it also and it sticks up so far that it is darn near impossible to get the wing nut on to tighten it down

I got a spectre off ebay for 72 shipped. Box and all. I love the sound it has when you stomp on it. I haven't noticed a whole lot of power gain, maybe some.

my truck gets force fed up to 65psi of boost pressure. My compound twins originally came with an AFE dry filter, and I have since replaced it 2 years later with another AFE dry filter.

K&N oiled filters is a big no no on forced induction engines. especially diesel engines that can run much higher boost levels than gasolines. our turbo(s) end up sucking the oil right out of the filters which not only gum up the turbo with oily residue and turn the compressors black, but now that there is no more oil in those filters, dust and dirt is free to pass right through the filter and clog up the engines.

here's the filter. not a cold air intake, as a diesel does not need one. our boost charged gets heated by the turbos and cooled by the intercooler anyway....there's absolutely no point in one.

Stole this Intake cover from a dodge durango for 4 bucks http://www.sfxperformance.com/images...s/CGS20131.jpg

Then bought some spectre intake tubing and ran it up to the grill radiator and cutt out that card board crap so the filter has fresh cold air all the time. I did install a plastic piece in between for when it rains. I dont want the motor to suck some water. Im gonna redo the grill and make a air funnel so the intake is forced more air at highway speeds.

14x3
Cheapest, legitimate air intake mod I have ever done. It cost me a grand total of about 45 bucks (because I HAD to have the chrome edelbrock 14x3, ebay shoppers will find this mod only costs 25-30) and the power gain were remarkable... I don't have numbers, but you can feel it in the seat of your pants, and it sounds/looks great too.

14x3 for 30 bucks took .25 off my 1/4 back when it was n/a. Stock box is very restrictive.

What makes you say that? Considering you dont gain any real power from an aftermarket set-up I dont see how it can be that restrictive. Just curious.
