^On that note, is there any imperical date proving that an individual absolutely is required to installed a 180* thermostat prior to loading a tune from Hemifever?
No, fire marshall told us that it would be pointless since there was nothing left for evidence and no witnesses. His home owners insurance is covering everything except the truck. His shed, lawnmower and house also burned, but it only damaged the siding on his house.
Let me guess. The Fire Marshal is an overweight, part imte - volunteer, with no training. Why do I say that? Becuase in EVERY fire there is evidence, and he should NOT be telling you not to report to police. ARSON IS A CRIME!ARSONISTS even kill people sometimes! Arson is a felony, and in some places, failure to report a felony is an offense.
And insurance companies are more likley to pay a claim if there is a police report, and often deny if there is no police report.
That Fire Marshall is a she@thead. Just saying.....

There is no impercial evidence – not even in the dictionary. There may not be empirical evidence either, but I would think that since the programmer is writing the tune based on 180 stat as a parameter for an input, it could effect the tune’s output. Based on that, I did not need empirical evidence to change to 180 stat. I just did it.
If you didn't install the 180 stat? It would not perform as designed.
Maybe I'll install one when I do my timing chain...
Just from what I have learned...If you install a 180 stat without the tune, you may be burning rich as the PCM attempts to increase the engine temp. This would likely decrease gas mileage.

Argh.
Well, it would be a WHILE before I got an SCT anyway.
