Oh yeah.. I also pulled my cowl off and put new seam sealer on the firewall/cowl seams to keep my new carpet from getting wet. Also pulled out my steering column and sanded, primed and painted it satin black.
Thanks man! No, but almost. I found them at a salvage yard that pulled them out of a brand new truck that was rolled over. They had them in storage and forgot about them for about a decade. I asked the guy at the counter and he said, "I dont remember what year they were out of, but at the time, the truck was new and only had a couple thousand miles on it. Insurance bought it." I paid $150 for them. Anyone able to ID the year that they are from? They are all on one frame, although they can be dissassembled.
Those seats are from a 3rd gen. They look great though.
Your interior looks hella better than mine. Wanna come down and work on mine?
Seriously? Cool. I had no idea they are from a 3rd gen. I know when I snagged them, they looked kinda rough. Had bat crap, windshield glue and dust like crazy on it. Cleaned up pretty good though. Ill see if I still have a pic of how rough they were.
Thanks for the props! I plan on keeping her for quite a while, so I might as well enjoy it. You shoulda seen it three days ago. Looked totally different. Old nasty vinyl floor, torn green vinyl bench.
The picture doesnt even do the filth justice. They had used it for a windshield stand and put it in an outbuilding that more resembled a barn than a shop. Cleaned up like new though. You can see the shampoo'er in the top mid-left of the pic. Did a great job.
