Yes better than 20. But if they are going to send me out of town I would rather work than drink beer.

I have thought about it. I'm not ready to give up on this job yet, nothing is perfect, and the money is decent for the time being.

Strike 2...

The replacement Derale controller for my e-fan setup is also not working as it should.
The first was totally DoA... this one at least switches the fan on with the A/C, but wont respond to the probe... just as well I use A/C all the time.

Anyone else had quality issues with Derale controllers?
I went this route because Flex-a-lite and Spal did not to have good reviews and Derale did.

I'm carrying a back-up jumper wire, just in case it spits the dummy altogether.
This should be a WTF post

Are you sure its not installer error? Or a bad temp probe.

I respect that work ethic.

After a year-ish use, I replaced the Hell Bent Steel sway bar brackets with the stock ones....

They were bent from just "normal" use not from install or removal.

Wrapped up all the final things of the BDS Shackle Flip. Learned a few things as it's being done on a Quad Cab with 4/1 leaf pack + overload. I think that is what you'd call it.

Replaced brake line with 30" steel braided one.

Used a 7* shim to return pinion angle back to what it was...dead nut's on. The zero rate block offers to offset options, 1" and 1.5". I really need a 2 or 2.5". However, it's useable still as no clearance issues and temporary anyways.

Last thing is slip yoke is extended a bit more. It's roughly 3", so about half the full length assuming it is 6". I've only judged based on length of the tail shaft. I have not tested the articulation...yet. I'm hoping tomorrow.

I do get a very slow drip of tcase fluid at that seal.

Feel free to throw down and cautionary comments or things I should look at. This tcase is not staying on much longer anyways. Runs great, but this pushes timetable forward on swap.

Thanks buddy. I am working as a Tower Hand at a communications company. So I climb cell phone towers and work on them to put it simply. I am still looking at other jobs though, because the random schedule of this one drives me bonkers. I will stick around as long as I need to though, not gonna quit until I have something else better.

Your truck progress is looking great, as always.

The probe is hard wired to the controller.

I've confirmed power at the supply and signal wires right up to the controller, and a good ground.
The fact that the second one responds to the A/C confirms the wiring is correct.
