Thank you all for the advice. I have some great news. I put the Temperature Sensor in yesterday and was going to do the tests on the electrical, to figure out if my problem was the ECU or the Alternator. I did the OBC check again and it only showed a code of 12 and then 55. 12 being the battery was reset within 50 starts ago and the 55 meaning all clear. Before, I had 2 more codes; one was for running cold and the other was for overcharging the system. Both are clear. So, now I wait for the 50 starts to go away and it should be just a 55 code. All Clear!
This is where I'm at now. Still hoping to get it all done today. I'm coating all gaskets with copper coating to ensure a good seal on my maybe less than perfect surfaces.
regular old dino oil kept it that clean, just well maintained. Brand new head. Good news, i got it all done and drove it home. Bad news still no change. cyl 8 misfire is still present, im at my wits end with this one. the only thing left would be piston rings but it has almost 190 compression. im going to go back through the ignition system, but everytime i hook up my spark tester its got good spark.
Added a steering wheel cover.lol Drove out a 1/2 tank of gas (like a 28-30 gal. tank) and all I did was go to town. Also did research on 65" wide tool boxes for the bed. Oh, did shop for tires as well.
