tinkered on the dodge some more. now im more stumped than i was before. I checked for spark again at the plug and plug wire, have spark at both. Pulled the distributor cap just to check it and it still looks brand new. removed the valve cover and had my wife crank it so i could watch the rocker arms, all valves are opening and closing as they should. Then i pulled the fuel rail and removed the injectors to make sure the fuel rail wasnt clogged, its good.

I looked at a 2001 3500 with the 24 valve and 5 speed today. its black on black and really clean. Hes asking $9900 for it. I am going to test drive it tomorrow. I may just be trading this thing in the way it is. I told him it had a miss that i couldnt figure out and told him i needed 3k for it and he said that was something he could do.

Ah yeah, thanks.
As for the SCT, this is my second tuner. I received a Bully Dog for a Xmas gift. And I had nothing but aggravating problem after aggravating problem. Unit wouldn't download properly, customer support was anything but, then the unit wouldn't upload to my truck properly, then the screen kept freezing, then the pyrometer told my my turbo intake was 7254 Celsius, and the whole time it wasn't doing ANYTHING it advertised as doing...so I paid a couple hundo more and got the edge. Here's the thing, I am by no means a gear head, and I hate following directions. Within 2 hours I had the unit installed and operating bing bang boom....easy peasy. I couldn't believe it, and it works like a charm so I'm happy

stayed home and took a nap-
didn't drive it - saved $10 in gas.
didn't work on it - saved $100 in parts.
