today i made a new switch plate, did a oil change, put new bulbs in the outside fog lights, put a new set of lower powered ones for fog in, hooked up the switch for that, then hooked up the big amp to a switch, put a new driver side tweeter, cleaned out the tool box, then cleaned out the bed.

Started it for the first time in 4 weeks, took me about 5 minutes. Bad carb, fuel pump, and far advanced base timing make for a hard cold start. Got er started finally and pulled it up in front of my shop, where I started making the tired old fuel pump start pumping the 35 gallons out of the tank. Bad luck to have just filled up the tank before it got parked...

Ordering my new fuel pump, 5-9PSI external inline vane pump, 45GPH, it's a marine version that can be fully submersed in water without damage. I got a 45GPH instead of the 25GPH because I wanted plenty of fuel pump capacity (I need 20-25GPH).

I love this truck...

Used it to pack all of my stuff back to my parents place for the time being. Took 3 trips for most of it and still have quite a bit more stuff. Next weekend will have to do for now, since I already took most of the week off from work to sort, throw out and pack. Also took a small out of town trip to get some forms to fill out to get back to school.
