I picked up the drums and shoes yesterday, and the wallet is just a bit lighter. Drums I managed to get for $102 each, but the shoes the best he could do was $135 for Wagner shoes, he could have sold me Raybestos pads for cheaper but he advised me well against them as there products are failing bad. You guy's would S*** if you saw the retail prices on these parts $235 for the shoes and $189 for the drums.
maybe they just overcharge in canaydia...

I don't remember it costing that much when I did my shoes and wheel cylinders on my rear axle. and being a 3/4 ton they are bigger...I had my drums turned though. They still had plenty of life left to them. $10 a drum to turn

Think my shoes were like $50-60 (I get commercial discount as well)

welp over the weekend I changed my fuel filter and water separator/pre-filter, gained 1psi of fuel pressure from the change which means one of the two definitely had some restriction. Recovered most of the fuel from the filters and that pre-filter/separator had a lot of crap come out of it when I dumped it into the bucket. I used a funnel that has a 10 micron filter screen in it to pour the fuel back into the tank. Didn't want to dump that crap back in there with it...

also did my first fillup since the new injectors...

It's still to early to tell if the numbers are amazing or if there is an economy drop, but so far it looks promising.

14.5mpg this fillup, but keep in mind, I did change fuel filters, and I have been hot rodding the truck A LOT since the change getting the twins tuned in, and just plain having fun feeling that ridiculous acceleration. but even with all of that...only 1mpg drop from the last fillup?! not bad... so this next fillup as long as I can resist the urge to drive like a bat out of hell, I might pull off my original fuel economy numbers or better?!

^What about the bed? lol

Put $29 in it. Got 12.6 mpg corrected. I think it would have been higher if I hadn't stuff another $2 in it.

I cant believe you took the bed off instead of just dropping the tank. Hey whatever. On a side note, got my hands on an AC compressor that just needs a clutch bearing.

It was easier for me to take the bed off. But its all back working now. Hopefully having a friend coming over in a bit to go pick up the engine hoist so the bed can go back on.

Anyone know how much the short beds weigh? Thinking of trying to man handle it between me and him and our women.

I used an engine hoist to take it off. I have no idea how heavy it is

Pick it up and carry it over to a scale and weigh yourself.

This is purely a guess but I'd say in the neighborhood of 200-250lbs.
