Got my dash in.

Now I have no gauges, dome light, or headlights. My radio was hardwired to the battery and now it's toasted as well. The only thing that I changed other than the plastic was the headlight switch. Anybody got any ideas? I'm sick to my stomach that after spending 10+ hours on the damn thing I messed it up this bad. I can only assume I missed an important ground or something.

2x that sucks!!! Must be a ground somewhere. Im assuming you already checked the fuses. Iearned a long time ago to not hardwire anything to the battery, especially without a inline fuse. You should check for a fuse in the back of the stereo, most of them have one built in.

^^ That's why I hard wired it. Cuz it has it's own fuse. The fuse is not blown however.

Installed the rear Bilstein Shocks, made up some stainless exhaust hangers, picked up the Energy Suspension urethane motor mount inserts for a diesel. I will be installing these tomorrow and will post back how it goes.

Edit: After running the truck today I have picked up a CEL for the post 02 so time to try the anti-fouler trick, Note I did not have this problem until I removed the rear H from the system were the 02 was.

Part number 5.1114

If it was just cluster, then I would think the connector for that, but a hard wired radio also - gotta be a ground. Just to verify, take a ground wire to back of radio and see if it lights up.

Also, is there a CCM on that model?

But it looks good!

oh, and i got her inspected today for the first time in 16 months, oops lol. while i was at the garage i was looking at my front suspension, and noticed the passenger side was wet. turns out the transmission fluid i had been smelling lately was because my remote filters filter was loose, and leaking. glad it was an easy fix!

The radio is dead. I took the power and ground wires and put them straight to the terminals and got nothing. So unless I am missing something else in there, I have pronounced it deceased.

I don't know where a Central Control Module would be or what it would do, so I really have no idea... I think later this week I will tear it apart again (I can't describe how big of an "Ugh" this deserves) and look through it thoroughly to see if anything looks amiss.
