What Did You Do To Your 2ND GEN RAM Today?
Because M1/Airgaps dont grow on trees, they're over $600 iirc...and I figured trying out a different oem intake might be the fix (but its not).
I actually saw an m1 on craigslist surprisingly and almost got the guy to sell it separate from the engine for $220 but then he backed out.
I've just been trying to fix it up to where it will run right, not burn oil, and be sellable without putting a bunch of money into it. Which is not working; needs an airgap, ball joints, fuel pump (sender is bad), fix my awful mystery grinding noise (im guessing diff gears or tcase issue), brake overhaul, 4 new tires & alignment, power steering box & pump. It's also acquired a lot of rust and paint issues over this past year, only thing its got going for it is the 5 speed and mint interior.
Might just part it out or sell it for cheap to a friend.

On the way to school today my transfer case started making very angry noises. Turns out I lost the rear carrier bearing. I was able to limp it to class, then to the junkyard where I picked up a good 231D for $200. Didn't get going swapping them until a little after 6pm. It was 25* when I started and 21* by the time I was done at around 10pm. Which is partially why it took so long. Had to go inside and warm up a few times. I enjoyed it though.
Anyway I should have replaced it as soon as I bought the truck cuz it drives much nicer than it ever has. I always thought it was the tranny getting ready to pop but now the transmission barely even makes any noise.
Also while I was under there I noticed that the rear lift blocks were installed backwards, which explains the horrid pinion angle. Next project... Still needs drivers side ball joints and cv shaft too.
