Not today, but lastweek, did a 1100KM trip up in the mountains, up and down mostly 10% and 6% grades. Handled quite well and average 16.4MPG. A little over $280 to fund that trip.... With this new job I get some hefty discounts on a new Dodge or Ford. Looks like I'll be getting a SuperDuty sooner than I thought
Super Duty aint a bad choice, those 4x4's have real nice front ends.
You should check out the 2014 Ram 2500HD, 6.4 Hemi and 4 link coil spring rear. Theyre very nice trucks as well. My 4th gen 1500 has the 4 link coil spring rear end, it rides real nice and can handle weight really well to.
Messed with it some more. Thinking about throwing the stock cam in until I get my megasquirt setup. Between being obd1 and dodge the lack of aftermarket support gets real old.
Fueled the diesel today................no improvements, 17.4 mpg's. Put my additives in (thanks Jigs). The wife gave me a big Honey-do list that includes the gasser (clean out the building and haul stuff to barn). It's also time to snake fire wood off the logging roads. K. No Corns.

Ill trade you my R/T + 10 cam lol. Its supposed to be computer friendly
Have you looked into a Mopar Perfromence PCM? IDK if you can still find them anywhere. Merc recommends it for OBD1. He has one on his.
I thinks it one of those that learns on its own. So the tuning potential is obviously less than a simple megasquirt.
Took my truck into a local shop to get the two front u joints replaced, both we're cracked on the retaining rings? Forgive me, I don't know much about those u joints. Waiting to get a big labor bill....on another topic, it's getting cooler around the state with fall coming. I was wondering with it being still decent out is it cool enough to switch t stats from my 180 to 195 for winter and not worry about overheating until winter?
